Gustav started as a Commercial Artist in the mid 1990’s. After his Navy National service 1990 he retired from his national duties in July 1991. He started as a layout artist with a printing house in Durban South Africa. Later worked for an advertising company (Ad Random) as a Graphic Designer 93/94. He got re commissioned back in to the Navy in 1994.

Filmed as a INTEL Photographer from 1994 to 1999. 2000 he was redeployed to the Minster of Defense TV unite & seconded to the United Nations in to the DRC, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Tanzania & Mozambique as an Intel ENG video camera man. Main duties was to monitor the movement & conflict between the Hutu & Tutsi faction militia. I resigned form the Permanent Force in March 2004 after 11years duty.  
 
 

He was then on a retainer for Tswelopele Productions (Top Billing, Pasella) a South African magazine TV show; Responsibilities; Lighting, Directing & Camera. With his Navy sports diving background he started underwater Filming. His interest in underwater filming was inspired by Charles Maxwell & Peter Lamberty. For the last 5 years Gustav has build a solid client base and currently working on two of his own personal TV shows for local markets.
